Tech verified check engine light is on. Scan computer to find code P0304 (Misfire Cylinder #4). Monitor data to verify misfire at cylinder #4. Check circuit to coil & seems ok at this time. Switch #4 spark plug & ignition coil to other cylinders to see what path misfire follows. It followed path of spark plugs. Checked compression at cylinders #3 & #4 & seems ok at this time. Recommend replace spark plugs first. Then recheck system. Advised customer of our findings.
SPARK PLUGS – Remove & Replace – All
Checked oil level & is overfilled at this time. Verified no current oil leaks at this time. Did notice oil wetness at valve cover gasket but not dripping oil. This engine is known for consuming oil & should check oil level more often. Advised customer of our findings.

Remove and reinstall four wheels to inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. Lining remaining is: Front (10%) Rear (30%) – Advised customer front brakes starting to grind into brake rotors and rear brakes are low on wear.
Tech was unable to duplicate customers concern but did notice drive belt looks worn and starting to get brittle. Advised customer a new drive belt is needed.
Replace front brake pad linings and brake disc rotors. Clean and lubricate brake calipers and slide mechanisms. Check and fill brake fluid. Reassemble brake components back together to specs. Road test vehicle.

Scan computer to find codes P0016 – P0011 – P0300 – P0301 – P0302 – P0011 – P0303 – P0304 – Tech cleared codes and ran engine and code P0016 crankshaft Bank 1 Sensor A – Tech performed further inspection and found VVT Solenoids sticking. Tech advised to start with cleaning them and retest system.
Reset computer system and road test extensively and engine ran fine, all okay at this time.

TEchnican performed inspection. Found wiring broken and damaged behind front bumper. Will need tp remove front bumper to access broken wiring.
Found wiring damage heavily behind bumper. Recommend body shop for future repairs.
