- Test drive vehicle to verify abs activation & warning lights coming on. Scan system to find code C0040 (Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit Erratic). Monitor data to find right front out of spec. With further inspection found a broken thrust washer at right front outer cv joint to inside hub assembly. Seems like broken washer is causing interference with abs signal. Remove broken washer parts to test drive vehicle again. No warning lights on after washer parts removed. Recommend install new washer & recheck system. Advised customer of our findings.
- Inspect brake condition. Inspect entire system for leaks. Lining remaining is: Front (30%) Rear (60%)
- Replace thrust washer from right front outer cv joint to inner wheel hub.
